Sarah & Neil's Wedding Film at The Plough Inn, Congleton

A relaxed Congleton wedding, told through candid moments and an emotional ceremony.

August 2026

Sarah and Neil said "I do" at The Plough Inn in Congleton on a warm August afternoon — a day built around family, from a touching sand ceremony bringing their young son into the celebration to a candid, unposed style of coverage that let the day unfold naturally.

Getting Ready at The Plough Inn

Arriving early gave plenty of time to scope out The Plough Inn and get to know the space before things got underway — including meeting the brilliant team from The Added Extra, who were busy setting up on-site, and the friendly staff at the venue itself. With everything happening in one place, the morning had a relaxed, easy rhythm to it, spending time with Sarah and her bridesmaids as they got ready.

A First Look, and Three Cameras in a Small Space

One of the most touching moments of the day came early: Sarah's first look with her dad, a genuinely sweet moment that made its way into the trailer itself. For the ceremony, space was tight, but three cameras were still worked into the room — one capturing Neil's reaction from the side, one at the front alongside photographer Phil from Zapimage, and one at the back to catch Sarah's walk down the aisle and the small details along the way. Silhouetted shots of the couple exchanging vows added a lovely, quiet moment that will feature in the final film.

Drinks, Speeches, and Candid Moments

The drinks reception moved things outside, with group shots and plenty of candid moments among guests. Speeches followed indoors — another tight space, but covered from multiple angles to capture the reactions as well as the words.

A Family Moment in the Park

A short trip to a nearby park gave Sarah and Neil a quieter moment away from the celebrations — and some of the day's warmest footage, with their son joining them for candid, unposed moments as a family.

Photo Dash, Cake, and First Dance celebrations

Before the first dance, Sarah and Neil took part in a photo dash — sat together on two chairs in the middle of the dancefloor while, song playing, as many guests as possible piled in for a quick photo with them. Chaotic, funny, and genuinely one of the best ways to capture spontaneous moments with a full room of guests. From there it was straight into cake cutting, followed by the first dance to "Stargazing" by Myles Smith.
